The Insider's View, 21 December 2007". The Independent. London. 21 December 2007. Archived from the original on 7 May 2022 . Retrieved 5 January 2008. The film cuts forward to Shaun, who is in his bedroom looking at a picture of his late father. He is contemplating the incident and brooding about what happened, with his mother Cynthia assuring him that Milky will be all right. Shaun is then shown walking near the beach and throwing his St George's Flag, a gift from Combo, into the sea. The gang deface walls, intimidate local children and spray racist slogans on Asian shopkeeper Mr Sandhu's walls, while Shaun, previously banned from the shop, launches a bigoted verbal assault on Sandhu with demands for alcohol and cigarettes. Combo viciously threatens Sandhu with a machete and the gang steal goods for a birthday party under Combo's instructions. It feels wrong to gloss over Lol and Woody’s nuptials given the travails that have preceded them. But sweet as it is, we’ve all been to weddings, right? Thankfully, not many of us will have been to weddings where one of the happy couple’s best pals is suspected of being an accessory to the recent murder of another of their friends and the bride’s sister is an estranged heroin user. Accordingly, the real action is to be found in Lol and Milky’s snooker room showdown – during which Milky can’t quite look Lol in the eye at any point – and in Lol and Kelly’s utterly disarming and cathartic reception area reunion. Timestamp: 0:29 | Scene: The gang laugh at a drunk Gadget. They talk about Shaun's chance with Smell. Shaun takes her outside.

The song was Lose Your Head, which references a mirror in the first verse and we wanted to have that reflective element. We built a reflective stage, with reflective flooring and then with the effects were a lot of mirrored shots in transition between the match footage and the band's performance." The aim is always the same. To bottle the lightning of the live moment. To capture the sensation of a summer. To move people.

Timestamp: 1:18 | Scene: The gang get stoned. Gadget tries to dance. Milky talks about the music with Combo. It ended with the music fading out and Gareth Southgate, 1996's fall guy, 2018's head coach, bellowing into the stands with joy. After Sunday's final, when the credits roll, when football has either come home or walked away once more, we'll see if he succeeds. A Stevens (26 April 2007). "Cropping the skinhead image | Books". The Guardian. Archived from the original on 24 March 2014 . Retrieved 26 August 2015.

Every ensemble piece has a few underdeveloped characters and this is no exception. So how have we felt about Smell (not that nice in the end), Harrison (what on earth was he wearing to that wedding? He looked like an extra from an Adam and The Ants video) Flip and Higgy (comic relief but not to everyone’s taste) and Jennifer (just why exactly, was she still around?) A mixed bag but everyone can’t have their moment in the sun, we suppose. The credits dedicated the series to the memory of Gavin Clark, the late musician whose cover of the Smiths song Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want played over the end of the original film. But, for a special occasion, both Evans and Woodward like to bring more than a recording to a montage. This is England". The Numbers. Archived from the original on 4 November 2007 .
