About this deal

What happens when people decide, for real or semi-jokingly, that you are actually Taylor Swift writing under a pseudonym?

Bates’ poems rarely bother: They’re all about the direct statement, in a way that many readers seem to appreciate, though to me they seem awfully artless. We can't be all too surprised, as everyone and their mother knows Swift is known for her easter eggs. Another thing that made me smile while reading the book was how safe she felt in her partner's arms, and how calm she was in those moments with her, no bad thoughts, no intrusive thoughts, just her and her partner in bed nothing else in the world matters according to her.I loved the way she was manifesting and validating my emotions and feelings even though she wasn't there directly. She is the author-illustrator of The Big Umbrella, about which Booklist raved, “A boundlessly inclusive spirit. I guess, Swiftie or not, we’ll have to bear the anticipation of Swift possibly addressing the rumors to find out the truth. We are a space for (thoughtful) discussion and examination of Taylor Swift and possible queer readings, themes, and motifs in her work and public persona.

I read and rated the book, “She is the poem” by Julia Bates and I gave it five stars because the moment I had the book in my hands I finished it. There’s another novel that just came out, so I’ll have to read that one so I can get a better judge of character.

Swift, befitting her country roots, is good at finding a central metaphor for a song that provides a framework for the emotions she’s trying to convey. ce recueil était juste incroyable 🤎 pleins de poèmes où je me suis retrouvée dedans, où les mots ont resonnés en moi, trouvant une place dans mon cœur. The comments on these TikToks mostly consist of sweet young people being very moved by these poems, writing things like “cant wait to find this person” and “i wanted this with him but he didnt want the same 😭😭😭😭. What really made this theory take off is Bates’ “Sapphic” content, which made the book catnip to the many, many Taylor Swift fans who have long combed all evidence for signs that Swift is not straight, as she identifies, but actually queer.

I know it has links to Taylor and I love her, and can definitely see correlations between some phrases and her songs, even mentions of her cats.even though everyone lives different lives, poetry can pull us together with our experiences and connect us. this is by far one of the best poetry books about love (specially sapphic love) that i have ever read.

Dedicated “to girls who love loudly,” this collection contains many rally cries of self-empowerment, urging humans of all persuasions to live out loud, on purpose.Product arrived matching the specifications I requested but also matched the photographs and item description. My sweet girlfriend got me this book after seeing I'd reposted on of the poems on tiktok, and omg I'm glad she did! Slate’s Madison Malone Kircher previously unpacked in Slate this obsessive pattern-seeking by “Gaylors” in relation to the “teasing rhymes” in Swift’s 2021 track “The Very First Night. On that tracklist was a song titled, you guessed it, "Lavender Haze" and this is where the theory originates. From intentional connections to Harry Styles’ music, references to previous albums, alleged baby names, or even ties to mysterious poet June Bates — can we handle any more rumors hidden in this album?
