The show's real star is left to last: the irrepressible Rockit the frog bounces all over the place causing chaos and hilarity simultaneously. She is unfortunately quite annoying as the patronising matronly voice is rarely encouraging and can be quite grating. Let's Find the Fimbles (Known as Le monde merveilleux des Fimbles in French, and El maravilloso mundo de los Fimbles in Spanish) is a British/French/Spanish VHS and DVD release that contains three episodes from the first series. It's the perfect successor in many ways, featuring just a few more characters and situations to appeal to children beginning to form and follow words.

Within each episode, something is found by one of the three Fimbles (Fimbo, Florrie or baby Pom) who populate the Purple Meadow. The upside is that the Fimbles are appealing to the young audience and hold the attention from at least 18 months to 3 years. Fimbo finds what looks like a bright pink sparkly hedgehog, but when it turns out to be bright pink sparkly wig he and Rockit decide it would be great fun to play a trick on Florrie and Pom - guess who's coming to tea? The English spoken and sung is very clear, the songs are catchy and the words are repeated enough times for children to grasp but not too many times to drive adults to distraction.

The episodes themselves are pretty good and hold the attention of an 18 month old and even a 3 year old.I'd certainly recommend this video to anyone with children - it's aimed at 3+, but Emily loves it, and my nephew is only two, so don't let the age recommendation put you off.
