Description

To get a counter on the board you need to roll a 6. If you are using 2 dice, then you must roll 6 on at least one die. The game actually originated in India. It is a version of the traditional Indian game Pachisi. When it got to England in 1896, modifications were made and the game was rebranded, Ludo. The game ends when a player crosses the finish linen. Players earn gold for their finishing location, treasure they still have in their possession, and gold on their ship. The player with the most gold (not necessarily the player who finished the race,) is declared the winner. What Do We Think of Jamaica? Place the combat die on the fortress and the 9 treasure tokens on the 9 pirate lair spaces on the board. Sort the resources (food, gunpower and doubloons) by type by the side of the board to form the bank. The Fortress holds the 2-action dice. The combat/shortage die location is elsewhere on the island. The food, doubloons and cannon tokens should be arranged around the board. The tokens are well designed especially the food tokens. What Do I Need To Win

This is where the icons in the top corners of the cards come in. The top left icon indicates the action you can take in the morning and the top right is the evening action. So, according to whichever value is assigned to whichever space by the captain, players either gather resources or move around the island.

As soon as a player reaches Port Royale, he stops. Any remaining evening action he has is ignored. The current game round is finished normally, the game ends and players add up their points. There are enough twists and turns that you can’t quite predict the outcome until it happens. And then those who didn’t make it to the end are ready to reset the pieces and race again.

The Captain rolls the action dice and chooses how to place them on the navigation box. Choosing Card A pirate lair space costs nothing; if the treasure token is still there, it is removed from the game and the player takes a treasure card, putting it next to his holds. Jamaica is language independent, making it a great option for families with younger children (6+) looking to join in on the pirate fun! You May Enjoy Jamaica If: Note: Treasure cards must be placed next to their owner’s holds, face down, all other cards must remain face up.Alright! So, you are fascinated enough by the game and want to give it a try and play with your family and friends. There’s actually no player elimination here, which is always nice for a board game. The other thing Seafall brings to the table is another legacy system. During a turn, players will draw cards that can either be crew members or missions. Each crew member has a different strength value and type and can be used to complete missions for victory points. Once a player has made one full loop around the board, this triggers the end of the game. The round is finished as normal and then that is it. This player does not necessarily win the game, but they do get higher points for being further along. Move to scoring to decide the winner. If a player finishes his move on a square where there is already another ship, there is a fight (if there are several ships there, the player chooses his opponent).
