I didn't have this for my first daughter and I really wish I did as I spent many a nights setting my own alarm on my phone so I could wake up and check she was ok. It makes life with a baby much easier as it reduces the fear of SIDS, plus, it enables you to get on with other things whilst your baby is asleep.

You have to remember to pause the movement monitor every time you take baby out of its cot, otherwise you’ll set off the alarm.It tells you the temperature in the room and you can page the parent unit to find it if you misplace it. It doesn’t have a talk-back feature and nor does it tell you the room temperature or anything else – but if you want a decent device to keep an ear on your baby when you’re out of easy listening range, you don’t need to spend more than this. The parent unit displays the temperature of the room where the baby is sleeping and will show on a colour-coded display if it is too hot or too cold, according to your preset parameters.
