Each “Dart” is a paper thin, precision-cut folded metal clip that slides onto a page from your book or notebook. It is a paper thin, precision-cut smooth metal clip that slides on and off the page at your exact lines AND without ever leaving a mark. They are also handy to mark a passage that was important and you’ll want to come back to (although, I often don’t). These tiny but mighty tools are crafted from high-quality, archival-safe materials, making them safe to use on all types of paper, from delicate vintage pages to glossy, modern prints. I’ve received a few questions via social media and e-mail over the past couple of weeks about a product that I’m now selling in the T.

With Book Darts, you can quickly and easily note and relocate meaningful lines of text for future reference and discussion on books both borrowed and owned. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I think you’ve made a convert :) I’ve never been a fan of marking up a book with pen or highlighter, even back in university days, but I don’t want to stop reading and pull out a device (which can lead to notifcation distraction) to capture an important quote or reference. Book Darts are precision-cut, paper-thin metal line markers that attach easily to any page without damaging it. To reduce the risk of fire, never leave vintage electrical or electronic products plugged in unattended. These tiny devices will fundamentally change the way you read, they are line-markers, rather than page-markers; tiny, persistent, unobtrusive, non-damaging annotation devices, visible even from the side of a closed book. Most people, however, view them as replacements for dog-eared pages, paperclips, sticky notes, or whatever else you might use to flag pages in a book you’re reading, a journal, or a notebook. Book Darts allow students and booklovers to mark their pages and notable passages without leaving a lasting mark. To use, add your Book Dart to the side of your page to highlight a desired line or passage of text, or to the top of your page to mark your place.

I currently sell Book Darts in tins of 50, in either stainless steel, brass, or bronze, as well as in sleeves of 12 or 18 Darts that feature a mix of all three metals. Twelve stainless steel, archival-quality Book Darts on a slip of recycled parchment paper tucked inside a polypropylene pouch. When you've discovered something important in your reading, Book Darts make sure you'll find it again when you need it.MADE IN THE USA and packaged in a gift-ready tins/sleeves, Book Darts let bookworms both mark and preserve the beauty of the written word. I'm keeping it super simple but am wanting a way to easier find my index, collections, future log, and start off the month because I flip around a lot.

I’ve realized that I’m reading even more since I made a conscious effort to reduce how much time I spend on social media. In addition to loving books, there is a particular book-reading accessory that I have long been a fan of. Because they’re so thin, you can stick dozens of Darts into a book without noticeably increasing bulk. The Book Darts is a simple but ingenious invention that’s been manufactured for years in Eugene, Oregon by Jeanette and Bob Williams. Book Darts were developed to enrich the reading experience by allowing readers to mark important lines and easily re-find them without harming the pages (and, thus, to encourage re-reading).
