Four-turn regulator offers incremental heat adjustments from a light simmer to a full boil, perfect for sautéing greens, simmering sauces, and more Warning: Reading this article is not a substitute for reading the directions! You’re responsible for your own safety so PLEASE read the instructions on your stove before use. Stoves and Cookers Cooking is part and parcel of camping, so it’s essential to choose a good quality stove that will make the experience hassle-free. At Wood to Water, we have a range of portable camping stoves and cookers that are both easy to use, efficient and built to last. Read More >>

The WindBurner is an intuitive system. Unfold the legs, plop the stove on the burner, and screw the canister into the end of the satellite piping system. That’s right. Unlike the other stoves we considered, the WindBurner is a remote canister stove. What we liked: extreme windproofness, fast boil, igniter that never dies, modularity allows for use on solo pots or big group group pots, cooks hotter and faster than other stoves They also don't expire or go bad - although the valve can start to deteriorate (probably would take almost decades though)... Regardless, you can think of investing in a Jetboil CrunchIt to ensure emptying the cans completely and making them recycling bin ready. Boiling Speed The Jetboil MightyMo boiled 10 two-cup pots of tap water at an average of 2 minutes 36 seconds. Conditions were sunny, calm and 54 degrees F at an elevation of 5,778. We used a GSI Halulite Duo cook pot and a new canister of Jetboil’s Jetpower 4-season fuel. If you are using conventional cookware i probably wouldnt want to exceed anything around 20cm in diameter for stability, and be mindful that we're not talking trying to boil a 5L pot of water which would be to heavy IMO.

The MightyMo will fit one of Jetboil's flux ring pots should you have one, but they are quite pricey so most people will use it with whatever camping cookware they already have. For the testing period I have been trying it with an MSR 1.5 ltr stainless steel pot, an aluminium Primus solo pot, and with a 650 and a 900 ml Alpkit titanium pans. JetBoil performance at an entry-level price. It’s limited by its smaller size, but still punches way above its price point. See Review One thing we absolutely loved about this stove: the unique folding design of the burner head. It folds down and, with its storage bag, will fit in the bottom of your fuel canister. Hands down one of the better innovations we’ve seen in stoves. Camping Chairs and Tables Find the perfect furniture for your outdoor adventures with our selection of camping chairs and tables! Of course for this price the JetBoil Zip has a few shortcomings compared to higher-priced models that you’ll want to be aware of. First, the burner’s output is limited to 4,500 BTUs. That’s still enough for the Zip to boil its smaller .8 liter capacity in under three minutes, but limits its applications for serious cooking. Another common complaint with the Zip is its burner control, which uses a compact polymer knob rather than the usual extended wire design to dial in the perfect flame. Some users complain that it puts their hands a little too close for comfort when making adjustments on the fly, but with a little practice it’s a minor flaw at best. Pros: Isobutane: Nearest to propane in terms of maintaining vapor pressure in cold temperatures (above 11°). In 2021, Jetboil released one of the most anticipated stoves on the market, the Jetboil Stash. The Stash is part minimalist canister stove, part integrated stove. As a result, the Jetboil Stash takes the best parts of both kinds of stoves. It’s lighter and more compact than any other integrated stove on the market, including our winner for integrated stove, the Jetboil Minimo. Yet, the Stash has the fuel efficiency of an integrated system. That’s one reason it almost immediately sold out after its release.Additionally, guides often appreciate how simple the WhisperLite is to fix, clean, and maintain in the field. However, we would argue that because the WhisperLite can run on high carbon liquid fuel (which creates more buildup), this stove may require more cleaning and maintenance than other stoves. Patagonia boasts that the wood-burning stove has the benefit of not creating additional trash, like empty fuel canisters. Wood burning stoves also don't rely on fossil fuels to run, instead using a sustainable abundant renewable source. What we liked: fits fuel canister inside, fast boil, ease to use, space efficient, all-included, simmering, insulated rubber handles and side-body, a pressure regulator to keep fuel use consistent in the cold, includes pour spout in lid As you can imagine from its name, the WindBurner’s major perk is that it can still function in high winds. By reducing the effect of wind, it burns more efficiently and boils faster. When you’re calculating the dimensions of these canister stoves, remember that the fuel occupies a lot of room. Fuel efficiency is key, so you don’t have to bring too much with you. Best Stove for Cooking
